Who we are
Chris Hewitt UK is a garment printing business based in the United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at info@chrishewitt.uk.
What we collect
When you sign up, request a quote, or place an order, we may collect:
- Your name and business name
- Email address and password (stored securely by our authentication provider)
- Phone number and delivery address
- Order details: garments, sizes, quantities, print locations and artwork files
- Saved logos and artwork you upload to your account
- Payment confirmation details (card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number)
Why we collect it and our lawful bases
- To fulfil your orders — creating quotes, producing and delivering your garments, and raising invoices. Lawful basis: performing a contract with you.
- To manage your account — keeping your logos, saved designs and reorder history available for future orders. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running an efficient repeat-order service for you.
- To meet legal obligations — keeping accounting and tax records, including invoices. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To contact you about your orders — order updates, artwork queries and delivery information. Lawful basis: legitimate interest.
Who we share it with
We only share your data where needed to run your order:
- Garment suppliers, to source and deliver the garments you order
- Stripe, to process card payments securely
- Our accounting software, to raise and record invoices
- Couriers, to deliver your order
We never sell your personal data to third parties.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order data while you remain a customer so you can reorder quickly. Invoice and transaction records are kept for the period required by UK tax law (normally six years). Artwork and logos you upload are kept until you ask us to remove them or close your account.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data (where we are not required to keep it by law)
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
- Object to or restrict how we process your data
To exercise any of these rights, email info@chrishewitt.uk. We aim to respond within one month. You can also download a copy of your order data from your account area.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
